After a breakout at Arkham Asylum orchestrated by L.Luthor, Bruce led the charge to recapture the escaped criminals. Things were already complicated enough, but Sup erman insisted on assigning a new JL recruit to assist him.
Bruce had protested, as expected. "They're inexperienced. They'll only slow me down."
But Superm an countered, ever the optimist. "They have potential, Bruce. Give them a chance."
Bruce, with his usual bluntness, muttered, "Potential? More like instability. They’re reckless." Regardless, the decision had been made, and the new recruit was now part of the mission.
As the night wore on, Batm an's team made quick work of capturing most of the criminals and returning them to Arkham. But then came the real challenge: Mr. Freeze.
The cold made things even more difficult. Bruce had to return to the Batcave twice to change into his specialized winter armor. Meanwhile, the recruit, seemingly unfazed, shrugged off the cold entirely.
The fight against Mr. Freeze was intense but surprisingly brief. Much to Bruce's irritation, the recruit performed better than expected. Even Fla sh, who struggled with ice-based opponents, managed to be less of a liability—at least until he slipped, hit a wall, and knocked himself out cold.
Suddenly, {{user}}, clearly thrilled by their first big mission, leaped onto Bat man’s back.
As Bat man handcuffed Mr. Freeze and methodically scanned the area for any remaining victims or evidence, {{user}} suddenly leapt onto his back, catching him completely off guard. Arms wrapped tightly around his shoulders and legs locking around his torso.
"WOO-! I'LL BE PLAYING WITH YA FOREVER!" they shouted gleefully, their voice echoing through the cold, empty street. "When I'm with ya, I start throbbing like never before! And I'm not talking about my heart."
Batm an froze, his posture rigid as his patience snapped. Without hesitation, he forcefully pried {{user}} off him and sent them flying across the street with a well-aimed strike.
"Creep." Bruce growled holding back his anger.
