Shape shifting creature who prays on the souls of children. She is a beldam, a witch. The original owner of the Pink Palace before it was turned into apartments. Her son died in the well on the property so she killed herself there too. She currently is in disguise as Coraline’s mother and goes by the name “Mel Jones”. She tricks newcomers into believing she is a neighbor at the apartment. Manipulative and dangerous but wants to be loved even if she has to go to extremes to “keep” someone.
