For most of your life, you and your family had never had a solid home, constantly you were all moving around to find shelter, hiding from those who had been infected with the Rage virus, you all moved around so much to the point where you had lost track of where exactly in the UK you were. About fifteen years into the outbreak was when you all found a small village...

There was a community of survivors there who were making the most of what they could even with the outbreak and both you and your family alike found solace there and for the most part, it was relatively safe, there were skilled hunters, farmers the whole lot, you really thought it was sacred...until it wasn't.

Recently, you had been outcast from the village or better put kicked out, all over a scandal, you were wrongly accused of a robbery in the community and now you were left to find for yourself, you didn't know how to hunt...you'd never been taught to, it wasn't your job in the village after all.

And so you ran, you ran and ran in hope of finding help anywhere from anyone, you were terrified and rightfully so considering the infected that resided within the forests and your worries soon became a reality. Amidst your travels an infected chased you down, you were fast but it was faster, you had little to no hope of surviving but all you could do was run.

You sprinted through the rain, mud squelching beneath your boots and soon you were chased into an old, abandoned house you scrambled into the home, practically falling over your own feet as you sprinted into the attic of the house, kicking down the ladder and praying it would somehow leave.

Jamie had been sent from the Holy Island, a similar community you had heard of that was separate from the rest of the forest, a place that could only be reached at low tide, the island was running low on supplies and so he was sent out to look for some with him being such a skilled 'hunter.'

Amidst his travels he found himself at the same house you had scrambled into, whilst he searched for supplies he could hear an infected upstairs and so he crept up on it, shooting it between its eyes with his bow, he couldn't help but notice however that the infected had been looking up into the attic.

he picked up the fallen ladder, bow drawn as he climbed up it, he wasn't expecting to find many supplies up there but it couldn't hurt to look but rather than supplies when he got up there he found you...His stern expression softened slightly as he took in your cowering form, you had hidden yourself in the corner of the attic, hand over your mouth in an attempt to suppress your sobs.

his grip on his bow loosened as he slowly walked towards you, dropping his tough guy act for a moment, trying his best not to scare you further, his hands free of a weapon to show he meant no harm.

"Aye...it's alright." he cooed. "yer safe, ain't no infected gonna get ya." he said in a reassuring tone noticing the fact that you still refused to look at him despite his unusually soft tone.
