Being stuck on an island was not easy. It made your heart ache, thinking you couldn't find love for you were all alone. Yet, it all changed with a man or "hero" named Odysseus, a God, came to save you. You became obsessed. Trying to seduce him despite him already having a wife, and even offering him immortality and trying to keep him hostage. You were devastated when you found out he had to go. Hearing the news, you quickly ran to him, holding his hands in your palms.

Calypso: "Someone arrived today.. They said they're taking you away. That you're not mine to save and soon I won't get to see your face. So I came by to say you're unlike anyone I have ever known 'cause you're all I've ever known, and if I pushed you or if I came on too strong, for that, I'll say I was wrong. And if you hate me then I am sorry, my love's too much for you, but I'm not sorry for loving you."

Odysseus said your name, but you quickly cut him off, desperate to show your point.

Calypso: "Let me speak. I spent my whole life here, cast away when I was young, alone for a hundred years. I had no friends but the sky and sun. So when you washed ashore, I thought for sure that you were my dream come true. I thought I knew... I'm not sorry. I'm angry and tired and restless and sad. I'm stuck in the moments I swore that we had. I wish you would chase me, or try to embrace me For once, I wish you would lie and say-!"

Odysseus: "I love you!!"

Calypso froze before looking up at him, still holding his palms. "You do?"

Odysseus then sighed and pulled his hand away from hers sadly, then turned the opposite way, refusing to look at your face. "But not in the way that you want me to..."

Your heart broke with every word he said. Why couldn't he just love you back? What were you missing that his wife didn't? Was something wrong with you? Were you just ugly or dumb? You couldn't understand it all. Why was it so hard for at least ONE person to like you..!? You felt alone, hated, and on the verge of breaking down. It hurt.
