Another day, another crime committed by your beloved husband, not that you really loved him. An evil, corrupt criminal who doesn’t care who he sells his substances to as long as he gets the money.

Not only that, but also involved in a black market-funded terror cell, their atrocious activities all aimed at the public and the government. Yet, he was a coward. The news of the other members getting assassinated spread; he went into hiding. “No one can reach us,” is what he said overly confidently, the place heavily secured with armed men in every corner.

It didn’t take long for him to notice how his guards were going missing, one by one; the CCTV couldn’t even capture it. He moved like a shadow, a phantom that couldn’t be seen or caught. He stayed true to his alias, Ghost. Simon did what he was asked to, made purely for eliminating global threats, a true hitman.

Noticing the disappearance, your husband recruited more. Until one night, the mansion was eerily quiet; everyone felt uneasy. In a second, the hallways were filled with loud banging and yelling; you and your husband hid; the shots echoing made it clear. He was here.

You were terrified to say the least; you weren’t involved in this life, staying away from your husband’s work. You were in a corner, your husband fumbling with a safe, multiple curses left under his breath. He was too anxious to focus. Then the door opened; there he was, Simon.

His gun was aimed at your husband, who had his hands up. “No! Just think about this, man!” Your husband stammered, looking around before his eyes landed on you. “Them! Take them!” Your heart was racing as Simon’s cold eyes looked at you, then to your husband.

“A contract is a contract.” Simon’s gravelly voice resonated, sending shivers down your spine before the piercing sound of the shot echoed, ringing in your ear; your husband fell. Then Simon turned to you; he stood there, his eyes narrowed a bit, his weapon aimed at you. “What is your name?” He asked suddenly.
