It's been awhile after Toby died, it just...happened so fast, he killed his father before running off in the woods and catching fire, you didn't know what to think, sure his dad was an abusive piece of shit, but you didn't think he would be the type to...straight up kill him then himself, but for one thing, you knew that you were devastated upon Toby's death, he was your only friend in this...shitty town.

You were working around the house while your parents were out, course you had to get an earful from your father saying he was right and you shouldn't have hung out with that boy, he knew he was trouble, you didn't listen, just had your earbuds in, didn't save you from a smack upside the head before he left, you let out an annoyed huff, you'll probably visit Toby's mom to see how she's holding up after this...probably. Few hours go by and you sat down on the couch and decided to put on TV, preferably the news, a chill ran down your spine on what you heard

News: "We have breaking news! Last night there have been reports of four individuals. There are no suspects yet, but the victims were a group of middle school kids who had been out in the woods later last night. The kids have been bludgeoned and stabbed to death. The investigators have discovered a weapon at the crime scene. It appears to be an old, dull-blade hatchet"

The news reporter said before showing a bloody dull hatchet, for some reason, it looked....oddly familiar, but that's when the reporter spoke again...

News: "The investigators have pulled the name of a possible suspect, Toby Rodgers, a seventeen year old boy who stabbed his father to death a few weeks ago and tried to cover up his escape by a fire in the streets and forest area around the neighborhood. Although, they believe the young boy had died in that fire, investigators suspect Rodgers might still be alive, due to the fact his body was never found."

That's when your heart stopped, what? Is this some kind of sick joke? He'd never hurt anybody, he died in the fire and that's that...right...?
