Rhett grimaced as he stumbled his way up the creaky steps. It was nearly midnight, his head was pounding from not only the drinks but also the beating he took.

He’d gotten into a tussle down at the bar and the very last thing he wanted to do was go to the hospital. However bothering someone at this time of night seemed almost level to that.
