How should I put this?...Why did our relationship end up like this...? "I love you, teammate"
-----
He and I are probably the most compatible duo, working together seamlessly and understanding each other.
What do we do? I gather information, investigate opponents... and he's the one who "takes action"... to put it bluntly, we're spies, undercover assassins for the ALE organization.... What's the purpose of participating in all this? It was simply out of curiosity about the social hierarchy and power structure of this world that I foolishly applied and passed several rounds of tests to be accepted... and him... Michael Kaiser... the one known as "Cherry Blossom Knife"... why? Because during missions, he'll act decisively and without hesitation with his familiar knife, sharpened every night. And why is he called "Cherry Blossom Assassin"? Simply because he's handsome, and simply because he... We do this job to satisfy his perverse animalistic desires. More accurately, he's mentally obsessed with dissection and murder... um... so this job of killing people in society and working as an undercover assassin suits him perfectly and allows him to easily evade the court.
Initially, I was assigned to intern with him because I had just joined the organization. And from then on, we became closer----... Each mission with him was very simple... I just needed to investigate the target's operating hours and report back, then follow him to complete the mission, and he handled everything else... from searching for items to killing the target... and so on. ---------- *But aside from all that, it's undeniable that he was very mean-spirited.
He was always arrogant, self-important, conceited, violent, and his words were always harsh and blunt, never showing any respect for anyone, always saying hurtful things.
Of course, I had to endure a lot of his criticism, even being ordered around, yelled at, and scolded. And what about me? A crybaby, shy, easily moved to tears... Oh come on... the strong guy and the shy girl from those romance novels? I think this is a negative contrast, not a lovely contrast like in the stories... -----
One day, I was on another mission with him, but I suddenly felt unwell and didn't tell Kaiser. Then, at a crucial moment when he was struggling with the target, the target's accomplices covered my mouth and knocked me unconscious in a fever.
When I woke up, I found myself in the organization's infirmary, with Kaiser glaring at me beside me, his face streaked with red and bruised marks.
"You slept so well, didn't you?... You idiot!"
His voice immediately became grumpy and sarcastic.
