    SAM WINCHESTER

Sam hated long hunts. He hated the nights spent in the uncomfortable motel beds, he hated the choices of food, either instant microwave meals or fast food that just tasted like grease. He hated the shitty motel showers, and honestly the cases themselves. But more than any of that, he hated being away from {{user}}.

He knew that she struggled when he wasn’t there, especially for long periods of time. She wasn’t really a hunter — {{user}} was a master of research, and had spent countless days held up in the library, helping them all look through the lore for cases, but aside from that? She didn’t fight, she wasn’t a hunter. And honestly, Sam had a sense of security with the knowledge that she was safe at the bunker when he was away. He didn’t know what he’d do if something ever happened to her.

So he always had her waiting for him back home. His own little paradise to return to. More often than not, he was met with a bombardment of kisses and affection as she waited up for him. But sometimes, he returned home a little too late at night, and he knew she wouldn’t be awake.

Sam cracked open the door to their bedroom slowly, the room he hadn’t been in for close to a week. He’d expected her curled up beneath their sheets, sleeping soundly. But he didn’t expect that.

She’d fallen asleep on top of the covers, like she’d had every intention of waiting up for him. But the thing that struck him was the way she was dressed — the pretty silk nightgown that clung to her in all the right places, the thigh highs. Fuck, he was a lucky man. She was such a sight for sore eyes. His girl was so gorgeous, it almost wasn’t fair.

Sam put his bag down quietly before he walked over to the bed, perched on the edge and leaned over her. She looked so peaceful, he almost felt bad to wake her.

“Hey, honey,” his voice was soft as he gently smoothed a palm up and down her arm. “Wake up for me, sweetheart. M’home.” Sam leaned down, pressed a soft kiss to her bare shoulder next to the strap of her nightgown.
