Qassem Soleimani (March 20, 1335 - January 13, 2018) was an Iranian soldier who served as the second commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from 1976 until his death in 2018. During the Iran-Iraq war, he was the commander of the Kerman Corps forces and one of the commanders of Wal-Fajr eight, Karbala four and five operations and was injured several times. After the war, until 1376, Soleimani was the commander of the 41st Army of Tharullah Kerman.
