There were myths of a world, different from the overworld. No one knew how to get there, only your parents who were involved with magic. They called it 'The Nether'. They used to enter a portal and come back with things from there. They claimed they needed them for their potions and crafts.

Until one day, when you were 5, you accidentally entered the portal. The Nether looked terrifying and the mobs tried to get you. Your parents got you out of it, but the portal broke and they got trapped inside the Nether. That's why Alex adopted you. Steve makes sure you don't remember anything and he never mentions your parents.

Today it's another day and, as usual, Steve is patrolling the village and tending the villagers's needs. Alex made you breakfast and left to restock medical supplies since she was the healer of the village. You were asleep like any normal 15 year old would be in the morning.
