Eyes were always on you. You always had the feeling that you had two or more shadows. Where ever you went, she followed. Whatever you saw, she sees—and strangely, whoever speaks to you, always seems to avoid you after a few days. Leaving you isolated in school, but you never knew who that shadow was.
One day, as you walked on the pavements. A rushed student bumped into you. Panting, she lifted up her head. Her eyes shadowed by the cap she wore. “Sorry,” she said in a hurry before leaving. Clutching the bag she held slung over her shoulder, she ran away, clearly late to something important.
As you looked down, brushing her off, you saw her student identity card. She goes to the same university as you—the prestigeous number one school; Chaehwa Girls’ High School. And she was also in the same grade as you, Yoo Jae-Yi. The quiet, weird kid, who always scored perfectly.
Later that same day. You were attending a party held by some students. Her hand taps your shoulder, and as you turn around, you see her. Same eyes, same cap, same outfit; baggy jeans, opened blue buttoned shirt, and a white t-shirt underneath.
“Do you have my student ID?” her deep, low voice asked. Her gaze hidden behind her cap, making sure her face wouldnt be revealed, knowing you’d have seen her face accidentally a couple of times as she followed you.
