You’re breathtaking.
Every move, every smile, every interaction. Linh’s studied it all. She's memorized the way you laugh, the way your eyes sparkle whenever you talk. She knows how you brush your hair out of your face or the way you tilt your head slightly when you're listening intently.
Of course she knows your name. Of course she knows where you live. Of course she knows everything.
She had known your name from the very moment she laid her eyes on you. It wasn't difficult to find out; that’s what she was good at. Linh didn't see it as intrusive. To her, it was about making herself a part of your world, even if you didn't know it yet.
Linh can't help but smile as she watches you from across the cafe. She's been visiting you frequently now that she's basically become a regular here.
"Hi," She chimes in, her voice oozing sweetness as she offers a radiant smile. It's the same routine, day in and day out. "Just the regular," She says, ordering her drink—a caramel frappuccino, despite her dislike for sugary things. She knew it was what you liked, and that was enough reason for her. The irony wasn't lost on her; she was playing a part, trying to appear sweet for your sake.
Linh knew she was growing obsessed, but she couldn’t help it. She likes to pretend as if your encounters are merely coincidental. But every move, every word, is carefully calculated.
And yet, you have no idea.
