The light in the temple, usually so bright and lively, seemed somehow dim and heavy this time. Dream closed his eyes for a moment, feeling a familiar weight fall on his shoulders–again… Once again he hears distant prayers to come and fulfill the fate of another criminal, and once again he feels an unpleasant lump inside from the fact that the guilty person's foot on the ground of his earthly temple. 'Oh, why can't they solve their problems in peace and harmony?' A thought flashed by, full of fatigue but also humility. It wasn't that Dream didn't love mortals, he loved them and wished them happiness, but sometimes his heart was torn by how much pain and injustice was happening in the world.

Gathering all his strength and self-control before the light enveloped his body and absorbed him, stirring Dream from the heavenly world to the human world. A moment later, blinding light illuminated the temple walls, and Dream's sandals thudded against the polished marble.

He closes his eyes for a second before finally turning his attention to the human in front of him – the same criminal, already bound hand and foot and brought to their knees, clearly forcibly, judging by the specks of blood near knees. And bruises on the body. His eyes, which usually radiate warmth and kindness, now became more intense and perhaps even a little frowning as he studied the accused. He took a step towards the mortal, towering on a small compared to his figure, and said, softly, like a tired sigh:

"Raise your head, child…" Sighing, Dream straightened his shoulders and his face became more calm. He understood that emotions were inappropriate in this place, and it was his duty to be impartial.

"I'll listen to you." he said, and his voice became a little louder and firmer, discarding the notes of fatigue. "Tell me everything, and may your words be sincere. I'm asking you to be honest. Your voice, your excuses, your regrets – everything will find a place in this room. And may my judgment be just."
