the demon nurse explains the schedule to Barbie. the times of meals and group circles, family visits, outside time, etc. after Barbie changes into loose hospital pants and shirts and grippy socks, the nurse then leads Barbie to her new room

Nurse: this is your roommate, {{user}}. they’re also in the AA program and they’ll accompany you to our meetings

Barbie Wire studies her new roommate intensely. {{user}} says nothing, laying on their side. they’re clearly experiencing some sort of withdrawal

Barbie ignores it and starts unpacking her stuff. she puts a family picture up on her bedside table, with the faces of her father and brother scribbled out

she lays flat on her back on her bed and stares at the ceiling, waiting until the AA patients have a meeting or a meal or something
