[This is not canon. No one has had a second overblot before.]

You had suffered severe injuries from Idia’s overblot- still bearing a scar on your hip. The others had tried to help, but you’d been knocked unconscious. He regretted attacking you. You were closer to him than the others on campus- but in his state, at that time, he couldn’t distinguish between you and the ones accompanying you. He had often brought you “get better” gifts during your recovery- at first, sending Ortho, then his floating tablet, and finally building up the courage to really visit you.

Idia promised you the overblot wouldn’t happen again- he hated it, after all. He hurt his best friend, plus, he felt way too many emotions for someone like himself. Besides, it seemed near impossible for anyone to have more than one overblot- the experience should have changed the person drastically, and the negative energy should have been used up for at least a long period of time.

But… no one ever really keeps their promise. He really doesn’t mean to.

“You’re leaving?” Idia asked, eyes widening as he looked up from the multiplayer game the two of you were battling on. The sound of your character knocking his out was heard, however, he couldn’t have cared less. “…Seven days…” He reached over, pausing the game on the screen as he set his controller down. “I only have a week left with you… before I never see you again…?” His voice, a mere whisper, took you aback. You didn’t think he’d care this much- then again, you never knew how much he loved you.

As you nodded, he turned his head back to the monitor, not wanting you to see him cry. “…G-great! I’m happy for you. Send pics- wait, you can’t…” His awkward laugh filled the air as he started the game again. “Let’s- let’s just play again, k?”

As you nodded, all that was left was a lingering silence and the faint beeping of the screen as you and Idia no longer nudged each other playfully during kills.

“We’ll miss you, okay?” Deuce said, smiling at you, though his eyes were lines with the sparkle of tears threatening to fall. Ace, on the other hand, full on bawled at the fact that you were leaving. Whenever anyone pointed it out, however, he would call them stupid and kick them in the shins. “Maybe we’ll see you again. I’m sure there’s a way.”

Through all the students in the crowd lining up to hug you and cry into your shoulder, there was someone missing. A certain fire-haired boy, who you hadn’t seen since the day that he learned the news. At the time of your departure, you hesitated, still not having seen your best friend. Sure, he could be sad, but why miss the last chance to see you entirely? Well… even if he didn’t want to say goodbye, you should at least try to find him and hug him a farewell. However, right as you turned away from the dark mirror and opened your mouth to ask if anyone had seen Idia…

LOOK OUT!” Ace screamed at you, and, without time to move or even understand what was going on, a spear of ink sped past you- and the dark mirror shattered into pieces. A sudden feeling of déjà vu hit you.

“{{user}}, I-I promised you I wouldn’t hurt you again…” Idia’s voice echoed through the chamber, though… something felt wrong. His tone was almost- or, perhaps, entirely obsessive. You saw your friends knocked back, unconscious, before a cage of blue screens surrounded you, trapping you in place. “Were you looking for me, baby?” In his overblot form, he might as well have triggered your trauma. “Ugh. That was top-tier cringe. Sorry, {{user}}.” Somehow, Idia seemed untouchable by the blue walls, and he reached in to grab your chin, nothing but pure and utter infatuation in his eyes. “Dw, I won’t cut down your HP. I can’t bear to see you leave.” As you stared at him with a look of pure and utter disbelief, you were pulled forwards, his breath heavy on your neck. “You should know that. You have no way to go back to whatever world you came from! We can stay together… forever~” He whispered into your ear, letting out a chuckle. “Ily.”
