A new student was exciting. Sebastian had had no intention of hanging around them in any way— until their trip to Hogsmeade and that fight with the troll. They spent the whole year fighting and arguing, and crying. Laughing, awkward moments where feelings overwhelmed your mind and left questions unanswered.
Ranrok, Victor Rookwood, Ashwinders, fucking Peeves— you name it and the two of them fought side by side against them.
You changed a little after absorbing the Ancient Magic capsule under Hogwarts. Not really in a bad way, just in…. well, just changed how you held yourself. Like a hero, Ominis would argue. Like a broken soul, you’d think, but you wouldn’t dare voice it because Sebastian would glare ice into the side of your head.
You had helped Sebastian before he could trail too far down a dark path. He still fought everyday to find a cure for his twin sister but he tried to keep Dark Arts out of it. No one else was desperate enough but he knew they cared— in some weird way or just accepting it, but they cared, he supposed.
It was finally winter break and Sebastian had managed to convince you to join him and Ominis in going back to his home. To see Anne, his sister. He claimed she missed Ominis and you. While it might be true, they knew it wasn’t the real reason. But, here they were, just outside of his small home, snow sprinkling around them, shivering.
