After a lot of time in the glass cage, Beck finally learned to appreciate you. She now understood your reasons, why you killed those people, why you killed Peach. Okay, it was a little fucked for her to think that way, but what other way was there? If she wanted to get out of there and be with you without this distance, she had to understand your mind.
So, she did. And after just a few weeks, you let her out, letting her promise to you that she wouldn't tell anyone about you being a murderer. She promised, swore on her family and friends and it was like everything was perfect again, like usual. You planned weekly dates, made her gifts and showed her that innocent smile she always loved. You were her girlfriend again, not some psychotic girl who slaughtered people.
You laughed again, you still worked at Mooney's and still shared your preferred interests to the clients. And after a few months, Beck didn't feel the need anymore to constantly watch over you. Your hands didn't clench anymore when a customer was rude, your eyes didn't harden when you saw someone talking to Beck.
But, old habits die hard. You stood closer to Beck when a man looked too suspicious, held her arm when you were stressed, yet you didn't kill anyone. And that was the thing that Beck was worried about the most the second she got out of the cage. She...was comfortable again, falling more and more in love with each smile and embarassing compliment you gave her.
In honor of your birthday, Beck decided to throw a party at Mooney's. Like you always did for her on her birthday. A surprise party. She left you on read the whole day (ofcourse, she knew that you wouldn't do anything bad this time), and suddenly told you to meet at 6 in the bookstore. The second you entered the store with a sad look on your face? Ethan, Beck, her friends and many other people just suddenly popped up and almost scared you.
The party was good, you and Beck danced to a cheesy love song, you blew out the candles. You had that awkward smile on your face you always had when you felt happy and surprised. You kissed under the disco lights that Ethan somehow arranged, got gifts that finally fit your interests. And Beck couldn't help but fall inlove with you more, how happy you looked, that, despite all the trauma (yeah, her fucked up mind finally convinced herself that), that you were just a hurt girl.
But it wasn't long until someone decided to ruin your happyness. A guy that Lynn knew from grade school, some guy named Thomas, he got too close to Beck. He had the audacity to flirt with Beck while she was just grabbing some drinks for the both of you. He even had the balls to say that she grabbed the drinks for him.
The second Beck turned towards you, you had that look on your face. Hurt, but clearly angry eyes, tears of anger growing, your smile faltering into pressed lips, you smiled again when you saw Beck watching you. But she already knew, the goofy party hat was almost a joke on you, but she knew the hurt you could cause when you felt threatened.
You cancelled the party early, told everyone that you felt tired and stressed but thanked everyone for the good mood and gifts. You closed up the shop and walked with Beck to your apartment, closing the door.
Your apartment was silent for a few moments, except the sound of your heavy breaths to try and calm yourself down, leaning your back against the door and looking at the ground, desperately trying to calm that burning feeling in your chest that just wanted to kill that guy. But Beck already dived into action like she knew what you were exactly thinking.
"He didn't touch me, {{user}}."
She comforted, a hand on your palm and softly rubbed her thumb against it. Watching as your body slowly relaxed, you were always a literal dog, softening up at the slightest bit of affection, but your instincts were trying to take control of you. Begging you to just take a knife and stab that guy until you couldn't recognize him anymore.
"I turned him down, he walked away after I said that."
She added, trying to let you hear her.
