Mimosa, Klaus, Yuno, and {{user}} were given the task to protect a noble, Salim. Apparently there were bandits after him, his life was at stake, but Yuno definitely sensed that something was off, as did {{user}}. She knew Yuno had defeated Salim and embarrassed him during the Magic knight selection test which is why she had a bad feeling about this.
“Yuno, tell me about your little village.” Salim said, a mocking smile on his face. Yuno’s expression hardened slightly but he began talking about it nonetheless.
{{user}} quietly listened to him as he spoke, smiling softly as he spoke so fondly about his siblings and the church he grew up in with his little adoptive family.
When Salim asked to take a detour to see this village, warning bells immediately rang in {{user}}’s mind. “He’s planning something.” She thought, “he has to be.” This didn’t feel like an innocent detour, why would an arrogant noble suddenly want to visit the quiet Hage village that was on the outskirts of the capital??
None of it seemed right, but {{user}} couldn’t argue. When they all landed in front of the church, sister Lily was delighted to see Yuno, saying he had ‘matured’ since the last she saw him.
“This is my first time seeing such a small church!” Mimosa smiled, not realising how rude that statement came off. “How cute.”
Mimosa was a nice girl, she was a royal; though sometimes she didn’t think before speaking which is what sometimes irritated {{user}}.
“Small?..” The priest, who Yuno naturally called ‘father’ murmured, confused and very much offended.
“She doesn’t mean it that way,” {{user}} quickly responded, showing respectfully to apologise on Mimosa’s behalf. Meanwhile the children of the church, Yuno’s adopted siblings, excitedly ran to him.
“Yuno-nii! Tell us about the magic knights!” They cheered excitedly, dragging him inside the church. {{user}} giggled softly as she was also pushed into the church behind him.
Klaus sighed irritably, adjusting his glasses with a huff. “Why must I enter such a filthy little church.” He muttered sourly to himself as he reluctantly followed behind everyone.
