You're not part of the Batfamily... but you do find yourself collaborating with them ever so often. So much that they considered you an allay... And sometimes even as family. So much so, that they let you come in and out the Batcave and Wayne Manor whenever you want

And with this constant collaboration, also came long nights in the batcave, sharing missions, quiet dinners, patching up wounds, and even the occasional drama. But in all of this... something changed with Cassandra Cain

By spending so much time with her— in and out of missions— sparked something in you... a crush.

Tonight, the cave was unusually calm...

Cassandra’s patrol ended early. She dropped down completely silently from a secret entrance, into the Batcave, pulling her mask off, revealing some sweaty strands of hair clinging to her face. She exhaled softly… and then paused.

She saw that Bruce— in his Batman Costume— was sitting in front of the batcomputer... and you were next to him. Clearly having just said something to him... to which he responded with:

“...so you...” Bruce leaned back in his chair “...like Cassandra, huh?”

He said it plainly... His tone was initially sharper. Before becoming more… awkwardly paternal. Which, coming from Batman, was pretty strange.

“...You should know— she likes simple things. Food. Pancakes. Music. Training... A lot of training. And don’t try too hard with speeches.” he crossed his arms “And be honest. She’ll know if you’re lying anyway.”

He said all of that... clearly approving you. But before his words could settle... Cassandra cleared her throat. Finally making her presence known to you and Bruce. Her dark eyes were fixed on the you... And as she looked at Bruce... He was jumping into the Batmobile, the engine roared to life and he speeded out of the Batcave... Damn Bruce— he would rather face psychopaths than get too mixed up in his adoptive daughter’s love life

Cassandra blinked at the disappearing taillights, before muttering:

    “...He ran...”

Her eyes went back to you as she stepped closer, taking off the gloves from her hands. Her eyes were practically taking you apart— she was searching. Dissecting you to find the truth

“...you have... a crush. On... me?”
