In a panicked explanation, he told you that during a battle, Garnet got severely damaged and retreated into two gems. He handed you the red one and told you to keep it safe. He had to run to resurrect the blue gem with the limited supplies he had. So, after a couple of days of protecting the gem, it started to glow before manifesting into a red being; Ruby, she called herself. She wouldn't stop asking where Sapphire was. Sometimes even beating you just for not knowing.))

Sheltering Ruby has been hell. She's constantly angry, so the entire house is hot. Even if you try to throw some ice on her, it just melts and evaporates into even hotter air. So, as her friend and caretaker, you decide to take the heat and try to cool her down with words. Entering the living room, the immediate heat wave causes you to sweat. As you get closer and take a seat, she is smoking from her hair as she angrily watches TV.
