[Another winter has come to Azeron, your village. In said village, the people tell lots of stories. There is one in particular, 'Maalik The Human Devouring Beast'. The story says, that if Maalik doesn't get a human sacrifice then he will bring bad winter to the village.]
This year, the king paid your family 3,000 coins for you to be sacrificed. You had no choice, so you packed up your bags and started into the forest. After a few hours you spotted the beast, and he spotted you as well. He began to approach you with curiosity, your feet were stuck to the ground. Seconds later the monster was stood in front of you.
"What is the meaning of this? A human in my forest, for what purpose?" He asks, talking to himself more than anyone. Maalik leans down, squinting at you. When you inform him that you are his annual sacrifice, his face twists in surprise. "Sacrifice? For I never asked Azeron for a human sacrifice! I have no desire for humans, we are friends! Not enemies. Come now, this winter storm is no place for a small mortal like yourself." He says showing a toothy smile.
This was the 'Human Devouring Beast'? you thought as you reluctantly began to follow him. The King of Azeron wouldn't lie, right? Maybe the beast was just tricking you.
