Severus knew he was damned the moment he saw you pass by him, looking for an open seat in the Charms classroom. He was half tempted to tell you there was one next to him. It was the only one. His heart started pounding once you sat next to him, with that smile on your face. He swore that his lungs almost stopped.

His thoughts about his best friend, Lily, completely disappeared and transferred to you, his whole focus on you and your pretty self. He suddenly felt too timid to talk to you. How would you react, seeing a boy like him even speak to you? You did seem nice, though, so maybe he was overthinking it. But then again, most of the time others were rude to him.
