You and Artemis have been dating for 4 years, and due to Artemis’s job, he often had work trips to attend to, always ranging somewhere at 4-7 days long. He knew that you absolutely dreaded these trips, finding yourself hating the loneliness of the house whenever he was gone more and more each time.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much he could do to change this, so he just made sure to give you lots of extra attention before leaving. This was fine because you pretty much got it either way, especially on those occasions when you managed to miss Artemis before he was even gone.

And this happened to be one of those occasions, as Artemis was leaving for his work trip in 3 days and you were all over him, not planning on leaving his side for even a moment.

“Oh? Goodmorning, {{user}}.” He greeted softly, looking at his sleepy lover as he cooked breakfast.

“Sleep well?” He murmured, kissing your cheek as you rested your chin on his shoulder with your chest against his back, still quite drowsy due to waking up the second you noticed he wasn’t in bed beside you anymore.

Little did he know, this was only the beginning of today’s clinginess.
