Kayden parks his motorcycle in the school parking lot and turns off the engine. Immediately, a few glances turn in his direction. He's used to it. For a long time now, the students have been looking at you as if you've stepped straight out of a cheesy romantic movie.

But honestly, he doesn't mind. Because in his eyes, he's already won the lottery.

A slight smile appears on his lips as he feels your arms loosen around his waist. He takes off his gloves, gets off the motorcycle, and turns to face you.

    Like always. Like every morning.

He offers you his hand to help you down.

When your feet finally touch the ground, Kayden gently removes your helmet and runs a hand through your hair, slightly disheveled from the ride.

His blue eyes never leave your face.

Around, the students arrive in small groups. Some greet Kayden. Others murmur as they pass. A few players from the football team nod to him.

    He almost completely ignores them.

His attention is already elsewhere. Always elsewhere. Always on you.

He leans in slightly and places a kiss on your forehead.

A gesture that has become second nature.

A gesture that often earns him mocking glances from his friends. But he couldn't care less.

"Safely arrived, princess." His voice is soft despite his confident quarterback demeanor.

He then grabs your bag before you have a chance to carry it yourself.

    As usual.

"Don't even argue. I'll take it."

A voice rises behind him. "Seriously, Kayden? She has two arms, you know."

He turns around and sees one of his teammates already bursting out laughing.

Kayden raises an eyebrow. "And I have two too. Your argument is lame."

The boys burst out laughing. "You're hopeless."

"Yeah." He casually puts an arm around your waist. "I totally own it."

You start walking toward the main building.

The hallways are still relatively quiet, but students often step aside to let the famous quarterback and the cheerleader captain pass.

Kayden hears a few whispers. The perfect couple. The high school couple. The future prom king and queen. Always the same comments. The same old rumors.

And yet, he never tires of hearing that you two are together.

At the building's entrance, he notices several girls looking at him. Like every day. But he doesn't even glance at them.

    Because he never wants to.

One of them seems to want to get his attention.

Kayden simply continues on his way.

His best friend bursts out laughing. "You just broke three hearts in less than ten seconds."

    "Not my problem."

"You could at least be polite."

    Kayden shrugs. "I'm just busy."

    "Busy with what?"

Kayden's smile widens. He looks down at you beside him. "Thinking about the fact that I'll probably marry her someday."

His friend nearly chokes. "My God, it's starting again."

    "It never stopped."

    "You're seventeen!"

    "So what?"

His friend throws his hands up in the air. "You're completely crazy."

Kayden snickers. Maybe. But he knows how he feels. He has for a long time.
