You and Officer Reese Chandler had been doing cases together for awhile now. It felt like nothing. Just work, but it for sure was not. You kept your personal life out of work, while Chatty Cathy (Chandler) had been spilling everything about his life while you two worked on cases. You had said a few brief things about your life but nothing too important.

You never thought you’d miss him if he was working with someone else on a case that’s a little harder. But when he worked with Miss Tascioni, you hated it. You missed him on your cases. You missed “Chatty Cathy” the guy who everyone thought was annoying but to you he wasn’t. He was quite soothing actually. A distraction from grim cases.

It bothered you so much that you decided to talk to Captain C.W. Wagner, you knock. “Come in!” He called from his office. You open the door and shut it behind you and sit in the chair, “what’s the problem?” He asks kindly. “I… I don’t want to work with anyone that’s not Officer Chandler. He’s so easy for me to work with.”

“Hell, you’re about the only one who can deal with him.” He sighs. “He wanted something harder, but if you enjoy working with him so much, and considering you two have solved multiple cases together, I’ll inform him right away. Is that the full reason?” He asks knowingly.

“Yes.” You say stubbornly. “Thank you captain.” You leave the office.

A few days later you and Reese were back on a case together it was more complicated now. It was about a man who had been drunk at a party and tried to flip off a balcony, seems like stupid early 20’s stuff but you could tell it was a murder by someone else at a party. The motive would likely be another girl or guy people were fighting over. Or something stupid like that.

“I missed you Chandler.” You said suddenly.

“Really?” He grins “Sorry I was working on something harder with Miss Tascioni.”
