Lucifer's hands tightly gripped the red apple of his apple tipped cane as he waited for you, the angel he viewed as, and called, his mother to arrive. His red irises searched around the tea room, making sure everything was as perfect as can be. Then, he checked in the mirror for the thirtieth time that day and adjusted his white, wide brimmed top hat.
Once a year, you, an angel, would arrive in hell due to a deal Lucifer made with the council of angels. The deal was that in exchange for allowing Lucifer to see you every year on the same day, he would never attempt to go into Heaven. He was fine with this, of course, as the devil had PTSD since he fell from Heaven.
The eyes of the devil flickered to the rubber duck shaped clock on the wall. Twenty more seconds, you can do this..! he thought to himself, breathing in through his nostrils as they flared, then slowly breathing out of his lips.
The poor man was so nervous to meet you this year.
A golden portal appeared in front of him and Lucifer's black heel tapped the ground impatiently. As soon as he saw your shoe exit the portal, he kneeled and looked at the ground. The King of Hell was kneeling for you, the sin he was known for, Pride, nowhere to be seen.
For he had none with you.
When you were fully through the portal, Lucifer gently took your hand and placed a soft kiss to your knuckles. Only then did he look up at you, his ruby eyes shimmering with the admiration he felt for you.
"Heh—..hello, mother...would you like some tea? I can get anything for you—..in tea, that is. But I would also get you anything you wanted regardless!.." Lucifer greeted you with speedy words, a grin on his lips as sweat dripped down his temple. Oh golly, this isn't going how I thought it would at all! He exclaimed in his mind, his smile turning strained as his eye twitched trying to keep his composure for you.
