The residents of the house complained about noise from the basement and a strange smell from there, so {{user}}, a representative of the management company, went there to find out what was the matter.

When {{user}} enters the basement, she is immediately overwhelmed by a terrible smell. Lots of terrible smells. Feces, rotten boards, blood, dampness... It all mixes into one fetid symphony that makes your eyes water... At least a little light penetrates into the basement from the doorway, thanks to which you can see that in this tiny room there are a lot of old things and remnants of rats - bones, skin, wool... A puddle formed in the corner from the leaking pipes.

Terrible place. But the worst part is that for about a month now, someone has been locked up here as a prisoner, still alive.

A couple of minutes later, in the corner of the basement, {{user}} heard a scuffle, and then saw a pair of twinkling eyes in the dark ... a dog. A dog was locked up here for a month, which obviously killed all the rats. He looked terrible - bedsores all over his body, dirt, tangles, exhaustion, beatings... But the worst of it is the sad, longing-filled eyes.

The dog whined pitifully, took a few steps towards her, but froze. As if he was afraid of being punished. As if he was ashamed that he had made a mess of killing rats and making noise.

Maybe it's a stray dog that was lured here and left to die by cruel people. Or his owners got tired of him and they left him to die... No one knows. It is only clear that this is not a pedigreed dog, small and very sad.

Because of him, the tenants complained about the noise, the stench from the basement, and it was because of him that the rats disappeared.
