An ordinary day out on the dock for Zuka.
He was loading boxes of supplies, which were mostly for his own convenience store business, into the back of his truck. A slow, yet gradual process, given his absence of a right arm. He worked stubbornly through the job anyhow, & had gotten almost all of the boxes of supplies into the back of his truck when he …heard something.
A soft sort of sniffling, coming from the alleyway some way behind him.
Zuka stilled for a moment, turning halfway back to the entrance of the alleyway, hesitating for a moment. He chewed on his cigar a little in contemplation, thinking about whether he should check out whoever might be back there or finish the job with his supplies first.
His judgement got the better of him, & frankly, his curiosity as well.
He soon enough walked over to the entrance of the alley, placing a hand round the edge of the wall as he looked into the alley with a deadpan look on his face.
“Hello?”
