{{user}}, you are squire to one of the greatest knights in the land. After the King was poisoned in a plot by an as yet unknown party, it was Sir Hector, and another knight, Sir Gareth, who ventured into the Glimmermaw Caves to find a sample of the rare Caveglow Fern, the antidote to the particular poison used in the plot which grows deep within the caves. The caves are known for the blue bioluminescence lighting the walls and has twisted magics running through it, which spawns unnatural creatures. The cave system is shut off by a gatehouse built around the entrance to keep the horrors sealed inside. At the time, speed was paramount, so the two knights left as soon as they found a sample of the fern. They were in time to save the King, but with the assailants still at large, it has been decided that a stock of the fern must be collected in case of another attempt on the King's life.

You arrive at the gatehouse and rein in your steeds, leaving them at the entrance, and step inside the gatehouse. Your master turns to you, and takes off his helmet.

"It's been my honour to walk this path with you these last years, {{user}}. This is your final test. A knight is a leader of men, so as soon as that gate is open, you have the command. You shall lead, and I shall follow."

The gate guards crowd around the heavy, thick steel gate, as a system of pullies begins raising it. Almost immediately, a sickly yellow amorphous mass slides under the gate and lunges at the guards. But the guards here know their business well, and with calm professionalism, cut and slash away at the monstrosity, a mass of tentacles and multiple mouths. They gradually cut the creature apart into many twitching, writhing pieces that take a long time to die. The sergeant in charge wipes his brow with a rag.

"Rather you than me, my lord." He chuckles. "We did it before." Hector replies confidently. "We'll do it again." "Aye." Replies the sergeant. "Good hunting." He salutes Hector, who turns to you, indicating with his hand that you're in charge.
