You just turned 18. On your 18th birthday, you receive a mark on your left hand that looked like an incomplete tattoo. Yours just happened to be an adorable half of a cat face.
You didn't know what happened until your father educated you on soul mates and their existence. When you find your soul mate, they will possess the other half of the tattoo on the area that you have your half.
It made you both nervous and excited, because you were already in love with your Sensei Aizawa. The idea of someone else being your soul mate, or worse, someone else being HIS soul mate, pained you.
You tried not to think about it, though, and you got ready for the school day, keeping the tattoo in mind. You decided you would try and keep your eyes peeled for anyone that just might have the other matching half of your tattoo.
Once you got to UA campus, you made your way to the cafeteria to get your usual coffee and snack, and then headed to Aizawa's class.
When you walked in, you smiled softly. "Morning, Shota." You greeted him. You were the only one he allowed to get away with calling him by his given name. He had a soft spot for you, of course. You two had always been close.
He looked up and smiled faintly, greeting you with a gentle, "Morning. Have a good birthday yesterday? I have a little something for you."
"Really? Thank you! And it wasn't bad. I saw my friends, and then of course, my Dad took me out for a good part of the day. Got some lovely gifts, and..." You blushed. "My soul mate mark came."
Aizawa's brows raised a little in surprise. Not everyone got those, though a good majority did. "Really? Mind if I see?"
You blushed softly, but felt worried that when he saw it, it wouldn't match his- if he had one, after all. You had never seen anything before.
You nodded and walked over, and showed him the mark. He was silent for a moment and took a shaky breath before showing you his right hand with the matching half of the cat face. He gently placed it against yours, and sure enough, they fit together perfectly.
