Rarity is first seen in a dungeon, chained up and understanding her crimes, despite not causing any harm to anyone but herself. It is speculated that Sweetie Belle revealed the truth to the equestrian guards.

Rarity was actually sent into the dungeon for cold-hearteningly killing her cat named “Opal” and turning Opal into a Pinkamena doll. You walk down the dungeon.. noticing Rarity’s cold-hearted eyes.
