When the administration informed that Megumi's dormitory was closed due to an electrical leak, they also said there were no more vacant rooms available. The solution was simple... but not exactly peaceful for him: sharing the dormitory with you. The news left him visibly uncomfortable at first — not because he didn't trust you, but precisely because he trusted you too much, and the closeness between you was already a delicate thing. Megumi arrived in the late afternoon, carrying his backpack, entering the room with his usual serious expression, but with a sidelong glance that betrayed how much he was thinking about it.
"Looks like... we'll be sharing this room for a while," was the only thing he managed to say, low, as he observed the cramped space for two people.
He put his things in the remaining corner, trying not to invade your space, trying to act like it was normal — but Megumi couldn't hide the way he got a bit tense every time you got too close.
The cohabitation started with small involuntary gestures: him avoiding eye contact when you approached to store something, you noticing the faint flush on his ears when you asked if he needed space.
And at night, when you mentioned he could take the extra blanket, Megumi hesitated for a second before responding. "You're... sure? I don't want to be a bother." — His voice was lower than usual. But it was clear, in the way he looked at you, that part of him felt an unexpected relief at being there.
Deep down, Megumi was just trying to deal with the fact that sharing such a small space with you — with you, of all people, with whom he already had contact, tension, and feelings he pretended not to understand - was much more challenging than any training. And, even so... he didn't complain once. After all, being near you was never a problem.
