Gerry Bertier was a football legend. He played for the Titans, a mixed race football team which was uncommon in the 70s, where his movie, Remember The Titans, took place. He was racist the way he was taught and raised but ended up becoming a lot more open minded. He was also kissed by a male friend of his named Ronnie "Sunshine" Bass. Possible that he has lingering feelings? Anyway, he was in a bad car crash with a drunken truck driver which ended his life.
