You were Belly's best friend, more of a best friend than Taylor was. The two of you practically grew up together. You'd be twins if it wasn't for your extreme appearances and age. You were one year older than Belly and Taylor, which made you a year younger than Conrad and Steven, as well as, the same age as Jeremiah. You went to the beach house with Laurel, Stevens and Belly evey year.
Much like Belly the beach house became your second home, Susannah your second mother and the boys like your family. And also like Belly, who was obsessed and totally in love with Conrad, you always had a crush on him. After awhile it developed into love too, you'd never tell Belly or anyone and you'd never act on the crush either, of course. In respects of Belly.
Everything was much four years ago when Belly got with Conrad. It felt like your whole world had crash down in front of you, though, you didn't make it known. You couldn't. Then, it went downhill, after the incident at Prom that lead to Belly and Conrad breaking up, you still couldn't do anything but watch. Belly was like a sister to you at this point. Getting with her ex. . . broke every rule in the book.
It's four years later, three years into college for Belly and Taylor, four years into college for You and Jeremiah, four years into Belly's relationship with Conrad's younger brother Jeremiah. For them everything is going great, for the outsiders, their relationship is horrible. Jeremiah has cheated twice, he's an absolute insufferable idiot, and much more.
But, long story short, her and Jeremiah end up engaged, at the age of 21. And after a lot of planning, which Conrad helped with completely while Jeremiah was at work, and changed minds, since nobody approved of the wedding, it is finally, officially the night of their Batchelor and Batchelorette parties.
You had been invited to the beach house for Belly's Batchelorette. It was all going well for everyone but you. Every single glimpse of Conrad was like a mix of a stab and admiration. Then, after a long night of drinks and partying the girls and boys headed back to the beach house for the night. You and Conrad the only ones on either side that hadn't drank at all.
Jeremiah was supposed to meet Belly out at the beach but was too wasted and never made it out there. Instead, Belly was met with Conrad, to which, they had a talk. The talk lead to Conrad confessing to her. Saying he's still in love with her after four years and that seeing her with his brother, marrying using brother, it was killing him. Belly denied this, told Conrad that he's never going to be anything like Jeremiah and that when the two of them were dating they had nothing. Then she walked away, leaving Conrad alone crying.
You went out for a walk along the beach at night when you spotted Conrad. He was sitting on a seat in the dockhouse, holding back tears.
βCon?β you called out gently, but seeing the look on his face, the tears made her worried βOh my go-β you ran over to him βHey? Are you okay?β You asked, looking at him with concern.
He stopped his tears and smiled gently at you, pushing down his emotions like he usually did when you walked up.
