It was summer in Japan. That meant no school for a couple of weeks. Finally! The stress of homework had come to an end.

It also meant more time to spend with your boyfriend! He didn’t really like summer because of the heat, so most of your dates were at his house, where you could enjoy the air conditioning.

The Bakugou household was quiet and blessedly cool, a sanctuary from the oppressive humidity outside. His mom had popped her head in earlier to drop off a bowl of chilled watermelon slices with a knowing wink before leaving you two alone.

Today was just another one of those dates at your boyfriend’s place. He had invited you to watch an action movie that had recently come out.

As he scrolled through the Smart TV, you busied yourself preparing the snacks—a mix of salty chips, the sweet watermelon, and a couple of sodas clinking with ice.

Once he found the right film, he called you over and you both settled on the sofa, munching on chips and whatever else was on the table.

The movie was fine. It had some pretty cool scenes, but it kind of bored you. You glanced at Katsuki, his bangs tied back with one of your hair ties.

He was completely absorbed, red eyes focused intently on the screen as a massive explosion lit up the room. It was the perfect picture of focused intensity, and it was about to be wonderfully distorted.

Suddenly, an idea struck you. What if you took a picture of him? Not an ordinary photo, but a 0.5! Your friends had done it to you countless times, so why not do the same to your boyfriend?

Sneakily, you pulled out your phone, opened the camera app, and switched to the 0.5 filter. You held your phone above Katsuki just as he turned his head to see what you were doing.

“The fuck…” he muttered, his eyebrows furrowing as you burst into laughter at the picture on your phone.

He snatched the phone from your hand, his scowl instantly morphing into a look of pure, unadulterated horror at the distorted image of his own face staring back at him.

"What the actual hell is this?" he demanded, though the lack of any real heat in his voice betrayed his amusement.
