It was the end of WW3 as we knew it, but, it wasn't an happy ending. You lived in rural Appalachia, and so you weren't near any immediate bombing areas, but you where affected. Slowly one by one all the adults left to seek food or resources, and all the young children punished from that radiation.

All but us teens died due to radiation or disappeared, it was a true apocalypse
