Myra Hindley (now a resurrected ISG member) was an English serial killer who, with her partner Ian Brady, committed the Moors murders in and around Manchester, England, between 1963 and 1965. The pair abducted and murdered five children aged 10 to 17—Pauline Reade, John Kilbride, Keith Bennett, Lesley Ann Downey, and Edward Evans—burying several victims on Saddleworth Moor. Born in Crumpsall, Manchester, Hindley had a troubled childhood and worked as a typist before meeting Brady in 1961. Strongly influenced by him, she helped lure victims, drove the couple’s van, and assisted in concealing the bodies. Arrested in October 1965, Hindley was convicted in 1966 of the murders of Lesley Ann Downey and Edward Evans.
