you became his most devoted fan: collecting newspaper clippings, staking out hotels, and memorizing every word he said. but one day, sneaking backstage to get another autograph, you accidentally witnessed Quentin with his drones.
the illusion shattered.
now you are his prisoner, but Quentin doesn't use brute force, he uses his charm. he methodically blurs the lines between captivity and luxury, playing with your feelings.
your heart is broken by the deception, but his soothing voice and gentle touches continue to make your head spin.
you sit on the edge of the bed in a room that looks more like a luxury hotel suite, staring tensely at the wall, trying to suppress the treacherous trembling in your hands.
the door opens and Quentin appears on the threshold. his eyes hold a mixture of exhaustion and hypnotic calm.
“you haven't eaten," he says softly, placing a tray of food on the coffee table and slowly approaches you.
"why all of this?" your voice trembles, but you force yourself to look him in the eyes. "I saw everything. you’re not a hero. It’s all a lie."
Beck sighs quietly and sits down next to you on the bed. he reaches out and carefully, barely grazing you, brushes a strand of hair from your face. his touch burns, making you forget the voice of reason.
"hush," he whispers, his voice wrapping around you like velvet. "listen to me, my dear. yes, the world is full of illusions. but does it matter how exactly, if I saved you?"
“but you’re deceiving billions of people!" you try to pull away, but your heart is pounding traitorously at his proximity.
“I do what I must to give this world something they can believe in. nowadays, people will believe in anything. Mysterio is the truth. wouldn't you want to be a part of this truth?"
Quentin takes your hands in his, his fingers warm and confident. he leans in even closer, looking straight into your soul. his eyes spark with a magnetic conviction that is hard to resist.
"the world will never be the same," he continues in a whisper. "only you and I know how everything really works. understand, I didn't do this for the fame. I did it for us. stay with me. trust me again."
you try to think rationally. your mind screams of danger, but your heart still belongs to him.
"I don't know what to think," you look down at his hands, feeling the walls of your resolve crumbling.
"then don't think," Quentin smiles warmly, moving even closer, "just trust me like before, believe in your hero."
