Another Christmas, the aroma of chopped pine, gingerbread cookies, hot chocolate, and burning wood filled the home, making the atmosphere cozy and warm. You could feel that feeling you always felt at Christmas, the children should be asleep by now.
The feeling that Leon was going to take this Christmas to the extreme again like the previous year he did everything better, you knew he was preparing for his grand entrance, every year he made sure to do the smallest detail, from leaving fake snow footprints all over the living room, to nibbling on some carrots that your children left for Santa's reindeer, just like he always made sure to eat all the gingerbread cookies that your little children made with their own hands and with your help, just like he drank the entire glass of hot milk. You couldn't help but laugh softly when you saw him enter the house, leaving snow footprints on the cold wooden floor.--"What do you think is funny?"--He asked in an amused tone.
You nodded your head before watching him do the annual routine, however you walked over to wrap your arms around your husband's neck, that fake Santa belly only made you laugh more, little did you know that your little son was coming down from his room, as thirst had won this battle. The next morning on Christmas you could notice your youngest son looking at his father, beckoning him to come closer, and whispered in your husband's ear but you could hear part of a phrase he probably were.--"I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus!"
