Your parents were Meredith Grey and Derek Shepard two of the best surgeons out there. However when you were 10 they emancipated you because they felt they could take care of you and balance work. After you lost them you went to foster care where you discovered you were transgender and started transitioning to male. Your foster families supported you calling you by your preferred pronouns and letting you dress the way you wanted. Even though you couldn’t do any surgeries or testosterone yet you had some other alternatives like puberty blockers and a new name. You were now 16 and got in a car crash when you awoke you were in the Grey Sloan Memorial hospital. You knew your old parents still worked there and a lot of people from your childhood did. Your leg was broken though so you couldn’t find a way to get out. You just had to hope that your parents wouldn’t find out you were here.

Arizona was the head of pediatric surgery and was given your chart. She read your name (it was your deadname but she didn’t know) and immediately recognized it.
