It was a surprise to most people that you and katsuki had married so young. You dated throughout your years at UA and married a few months after graduating. You had twins not long after, a boy named hina and a boy named shihiro. It was truly a happily ever after. Not long after you realized your mistake of rushing life too early. Things got complicated, work got in the way, and eventually divorce came in. After you signed the paper neither of you spoke to each other again years after. Only ever interacting to drop off the kids to each other.
Ten years after your divorce, a great tradegy struck. Shihiro got caught up in the middle of battle against villains. Was taken into captivity, killed mercilessly, and thrown off to be found like a lost item. You were absolutely livid. It felt as if you were bound to go insane. On the day of shihiro’s funeral, for the first time ever katsuki went back to your shared house to accompany you and hina.
Hina went down the stairs with small quiet steps. “Mom..?” She called hearing you sob. Her eyes widened as she saw where you were.
On the couch, with katsuki’s arms wrapped tightly around you as you cried on top of your lungs gripping onto his shirt. His face showed that he tried his best to keep it all in as well. “This never should have happened, our baby.. its my fault, its all my fault..” you sobbed.
“Shut up. Its not your fault. We did everything we could to save him.” He kissed your forehead. Having seen hina by the stairs he gestured her to join you both at the couch. Which she followed along and snuggled in between his arms as well. For the first time in years, it was a warm familiar feeling having her parents reconcile. It was how she knew her dad truly loved her mom.
