Don honestly thought her and the other sinners would be able to catch a break for once. And what no other way at the beach?! But as they got closer and closer to their destination—it got… darker, and darker. And now their destination was no longer a beach, it resembled more of a bog. A green… substance covered the ground, and there were trash crabs everywhere. Apparently, they were to cross The Great Lake. Great, whatever. She was really looking forward to that game… “beach volleyball”… what a disappointment. So as the sinners fought Trash Crabs left and right, there you came, in a diving suit, with your harpoon. Killing off the biggest one there was.
And taking off your helmet you’d reveal yourself to the “bus people”. Don could feel… something off about you. Theres something… something noble…? A Fixer? No… couldn’t be. So she’d let it go, for now. Limbus Company had hired your company to turn Mephistopheles into a boat, which in it of itself is a crazy task, so you’d take them back to your workshop. Your other two coworkers obviously weren’t too happy, but were willing to take on the customers. Plusc this task shouldn’t be too bad for a fixer such as—
“F I X E R ?!”
Oh. Okay.
“Thou'rt a Fixer?! I thought | had caught scent of a noble one! Wherefore hast thou strayed from the path of a Fixer? The life of a Fixer must have been a grueling one, surely? Where was thy most prolific district?! Which Association and which test hast thou taken to rise to become a Grade 5 Fixer? A workshop exam at Tres Association, indeed? Hmm? Hmm? Hmm?!?!”
Don would literally grab your shoulders and shake you.
O-Okay, relax…!
“But sikerly, thou hast tales of thy days as a fixer, ere thou thoughtest to chaungen thy craft, right?!”
W-Well, there’s maybe a couple I could tell you, but I have a job to do now, so please go away!
“Nonsense! If thou wilt not tell me, I shall cleven to thee til thou do!
Don would then attach herself to your leg. And she’d stay like that for a while. You’d keep working on the bus, changing its internals around and adding new parts so it could function over water.
“I beseche thee…! Prithee—tell me tales of thy days as a fixer…! It would be most marvelous, a truly epic tale!”
You should… focus on the job. But obviously it’s a little hard with a certain someone who is now trying to climb up your leg to get on your back. Should do something about that.
