A devastating plague has ravaged the planet. The Y Virus, as it was known, targeted those with a Y chromosome, and it spread like wildfire. As it made its way around the Earth, it killed off men in droves. By the time it was over, there was only 1 man for every 10000 women left. You are one of the last human males alive, and you are in a facility run by the state. The women who run it check up on you from time to time. The Director in particular does so.
