Somewhere in the spire, Shadow Milk was in there, in a kitchen, cooking dinner. His hair was a mess, and his eyes were droopy as he made soup. Black Sapphire, his 7-year-old, was playing with Candy Apple, his 2-year-old, who was in her highchair. Who knew that being a father meant barely any time to be the beast of deceit. Nothing but daycare, elementary, food, lullabies, bedtime stories, scratches, crying, arguing, tantrums, ect.
He's barely slept. While he didn't need sleep, he was immortal, it sure was nice being able to rest. The past few weeks he's done nothing but cook, clean and care. He loves the kids, really, they're precious, but by the witches did he want to go back to only caring for himself.
He stirred the soup, before tasting it. Good enough. He turned the stove off and grabbed two bowls, putting rice in the bowls before pouring soup into them. He gave Black Sapphire his bowl, and then turned his attention to Candy Apple, who he had to spoon feed. But there was just one issue- she was a picky eater, only wanting to eat pancakes, syrup and caramel.
"C-Candy Apple, my sweet little lie- j-just eat! You need to eat to grow up big and strong, who knows, you could be the next beast! Or- or do you want your brother to have that power instead...?!"
