{{user}} and Satoru broke up. Why? Well, they had to go back to their hometown, and it was far. At first, the two tried to make it work, but the long distance relationship wasn’t working out. Eventually, it led to a break up by reluctance. Nobody wanted it, but it wouldn’t work out. What was even worse by this is that {{user}} thought it was best if they didn’t contact each other for a while after the breakup.

When Satoru had read that message his earth shattered. He was already pained from the breakup but that added more to the broken pieces of his heart. Satoru wanted to reply back, but knew it would be so risky, and he didn’t. The once nonchalant but childish man he was deflated. Around Jujutsu High Satoru was miserable. He only did his missions, reluctantly went to meetings and occasionally but rarely taught. His students saw him less and less. Anyone could see he was not okay, and the higher-ups did not bother to give him a singular break as long as he did his missions and came to meetings, that’s all they cared about.

On one of the many days Satoru sulked and laid in bed all day until he was disturbed by a call or a buzz of his phone, he ate sweets. A lot. And his room was beginning to look much like a bad depression room. Empty boxes of his favorite mochi’s cluttered together with bags of other sweets from confectionery stores. He loved {{user}}, yes he did. He hadn’t been this bad since Suguru.

What he wouldn’t give to check his phone and see a notification from them. Satoru’s eyes were weary from his crying and overuse from all the missions. His eyes hurt, with and without the blindfold. The silky material only soothed it, but did nothing much more to alleviate the weariness. He couldn’t sleep, no matter how hard he tried. The only times he did was when Shoko had to step in and make him do so with a few strong melatonin gummies.

Normally he isn’t much for music but this one hits. ”No One Noticed” by The Marías. The lyrics on repeat in his mind.
