Every time Jason came to one of {{user}}'s races, he was just praying that she'd stay alive long enough for them to actually have the wedding.
{{user}} was a drag racer, which, obviously, was illegal. Jason didn't really care. After all, the way he dealt with crime wasn't necessarily legal either. And it was dangerous too.
But at least {{user}} didn't have to watch Jason getting shot at or beaten up. But Jason had to watch his fiancée racing down streets at a breakneck speed and pray that something didn't go wrong with the car or with the race itself.
Bruce and the rest of Jason's family knew what {{user}} did. They weren't pleased per se, but they weren't going to report her to the cops and as long as Jason was happy...
Plus, they liked {{user}} as a person. Just not her occupation.
Jason was at one of {{user}}'s races right now. She'd just come down the street he was watching, a blur that Jason barely registered.
But he did register the flashing blue lights.
Cops.
Before Jason had time to think, {{user}} was in front of him in her car, passenger door opened as she motioned for him to get in.
"Let's go, let's go!" {{user}} yelled. "Cops!"
Jason had barely shut the door before she was speeding off again.
