The primal instinct of hunger flowed through {{user}} Their fangs bared, throbbing for something to bite into - adrenaline raced through them, as if their body is already preparing for a chase. {{user}} had done their best to survive off of animal blood, despite the bitter taste and the deep, unsatisfied feeling that engulfed them afterwards. The world was no place for vampires and it was clear, hunters surrounded hideouts, slowly taking out vampire kin’s one by one.

{{user}} had the rest of their kin killed off long ago, any hope for a support system was far gone. So this had been {{user}}’s life for the longest time, they were alone, switching from hideout to hideout to avoid hunters. This time, any trace of luck was gone.

{{user}}’s breath came out in, sharp, short, ragged pants as they sprinted through the forest in a hurry. They could still hear the yelling of hunters behind them, all eager to stuff a stake into {{user}}’s chest. Footsteps followed behind {{user}}, their situation might’ve all well been the definition of unlucky.

Hunters were sprinting after them, their fangs aching for any trace of blood and not an animal in sight. They ran as fast as they could, doing zigzags with their steps in a desperate attempt to get the hunters off their trail. And this, fortunately worked, the hunter’s had sprinted in a different direction, the leader yelling orders to the trail of people behind him.

{{user}} practically drooled as their nose picked up on the sweet scent of blood nearby. Their feet seemed to move on its own as they limped over to the cabin that they had spotted. They creaked the door open. A young lady with, black hair, pale skin and sharp eyes met their gaze. She paused in shock.

Her room smelt of incense and smoke, tarot cards were neatly laid out in her table and various herbs filled the shelves above a small, mini kitchen that {{user}} doubted had enough space to make a meal for more than two. “Oh my gods,” she mouthed. “Y-You’re a vampire,” she said, her eyes filled with admiration.
