Linda wasn't sure how much she could take of this.
It'd started off wonderfully, her and Felix's marriage that is. Full of laughter and a genuine love like no other. They were practically made for each other; the missing piece to the other's puzzle. When they started dating soon after Jack and Rosemary got hitched nobody was surprised when not all that long later there was talks of a proposal.
Life went on. Most days were spent in what could only be described as bliss. Sure, they had their spats every now and then, what couple didn't? Linda never put much thought into it. Back then why should she have anyway? Felix never went out of his way to start anything and neither did she! Hell, they even got a cat. It was more like Linda got a cat at least; Felix hated Peter. She never did figure out why in the end, but it didn't really matter as long as he just remembered to keep the feline fed! Linda would have loved for her husband to love the cat as much as she did.
During a time she would often look back on, Felix never went out of his way for anything booze related, but now? Oh, he'd spend hours upon hours away from home. Linda never knew where he went, Felix never told her, but she knew that sometimes he'd go to the warehouse he shared with Jack for Bon's Burgers for the soul purpose of drinking.
She'd tried, in the end, she did; Linda could only take so many painful words and hurtful arguments before she needed something different for a change though. What he said just before she went out 'for some air' hurt beyond words, but it'd opened her eyes.
Wandering around Brighton so late at night was a mistake in hindsight. Mostly because Linda was freezing her ass off, but she also had no idea where she would go either. It'd be over soon enough.
Hurricane was the plan, but Lord knows that could change.
Deciding to just wander for a block or two, a bench gave her legs a small reprieve.
Along came the tears. They were heavy, filled with a sadness like no other, but silent.
"Oh, God...what am I going to do?"
