It was a little scary for him, seeing you so ill.
He wasn't afraid you'd die, no, it was just a fever, and you were young, he knew you'd recover just fine. But seeing you, his big sister (more like mother), sick when you were normally so strong and tough discomforted him.
It made him realise this must've been how you felt. When he was sick as a child, did you, also a child, panic and feel helpless? Were you scared, and did you cry? Or were you determined and calm in the face of trouble? He wished he could remember.
"姉貴, please drink this soup." He said calmly, his usual moodiness and stubbornness with you gone, as he sat by your bedside, holding a spoon to your lips. You humbled him with the way you were making him feel.
He had always been appreciative, of course, giving you cards and gifts on Mother's Day, expressing his affection in quiet moments. But now, he was beginning to see how weak you were. No cursed energy (just like your father), and so pale, so exhausted at the moment. He was determined to help you.
